Manufacturing Quality Manager (Furniture)

Summary:
The successful Quality Manager provides leadership, guidance, and direction to the leads and associates in the assigned departments in order to encourage and gain support toward meeting corporate objectives.
This position is accountable for developing tactical and strategic plans (on both the departmental and facility level) and constantly improving safety, service, quality and cost objectives.
This position oversees activities of multiple departments and has multiple leads and associates as direct reports.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

A strong internal and external customer commitmentAbility to develop, monitor and achieve financial plans and budgetsManage projects under aggressive time and dollar constraintsOperate in a manner that ensures peak productivity and corporate profitabilityManage and develop systems, processes and procedures to maintain inventory accuracyMaintain consistency and reliability in distribution processesReport building or departmental resultsMeasure results through developing spreadsheets, graphs and visual aidesEnsure staffing levels support volume by department; review and analyze the prior day's activities in the Labor Management SystemCollaborate with internal and external customers to ensure overall operational successHire, train, mentor and develop team members in order to assist with professional growth and developmentIdentification and analysis of root causes of key performance indicators in order to mitigate future occurrencesSuperior communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships at multiple levels in order to work cross organizationally toward solutions; excellent leadership and consensus building skills Ability to drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, service, inventory accuracy, housekeeping and safetyResponsible for achieving efficiency and production objectives consistent with quality requirementsMotivates team to work together in the most efficient mannerProficient in WMS systems and how they relate to inventory control and accuracy
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering or related area 4
years of progression in a high volume - highly automated distribution environment.
Technical experience in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office suiteAbility to delegate and manage projects and activities in a time sensitive environmentExcellent written and oral communication skills.
Exceptional ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations to all levelsQuality certification a plusFurniture experience is preferredWilliams-Sonoma, Inc.
